The job I almost missed out on...

This lady, Vicky, from AAA e-mailed me Friday asking that I send her my updated resume and I did. Today she called me back. Vicky's going to forward my resume to 2 close AAA travel offices for possible interviews. I'm so happy. lol She said that if I don't hear from them in a week, to call her back. I hope they call. One office is more likely to train more than the other so I'm hoping the office that trains is the office who calls because I could use the training as a refresher since it's been a couple months since I've done SABRE and about a year since I've done Apollo. Plus I'm not too into sales so I could use help with that as well. I forgot to ask what the hours were! I'll look it up on the website.

Vicky also suggested I check my mobile phone because the managers may try to call me on that and she tried over the weekend and got some funny recording that then hung up on her. I checked my resume that I e-mailed to her to see if the number was correct and it is, so I don't know what's going on. I also had a few friends from far off area codes try calling my number and they didn't get the recording either, so I don't know what's going on.

On a random note...eating chocolate was worth it this weekend...even if I do feel so much more fatter because of it. lol Feeding your brain: new benefits found in chocolate.

I'm almost done watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and then I'm going to watch (maybe Free Willy 1) Free Willy 2 since it came in the mail in Saturday. Nothing says VEG like watching movies on a rainy holiday. I should be around the internet off and on today. I'll try not to spam. lol

So Penguin called me just now and was like, "Hello, is Mrs. Elliott there?" and I was like, "Uhh no." and he was like, "Oh okay." and I was like, "Good bye" and I hung up!

Oh yeah!

He wants to take me off MySpace, he doesn't need to call me. Simple as that.

Then he called back like 1 minute later and I didn't answer the phone.

I'm about to send him an e-mail stating that he's not to call me anymore since I'm not worthy enough to be on my friends list. Yeah, petty, but I don't care. It's time I leave this man in the past where he belongs.

Funny how the first people I tell are the people online. lol

The reason I didn't take your call is because it's come to my attention that you've removed me from your friend's list, so I'm taking that as you don't want anything to do with me. Yeah, I'm sure that's pretty petty, but I don't care.

Please don't call me anymore, I won't answer.

In other news...

I can't believe Reba is over. I just watched the series finale and while I didn't like the way it ended, it was still very funny. I wonder what's going to take it's place. Then 7th Heaven was going to come on and I changed the channel. As much I wanted the show to come back, it's kind of sucking now and I wish it would have just ended and then did a 7th Heaven Reunion kind of thing lol Now I'm watching The Simpsons and trying to decide what I want for dinner.

My dad's been gone all day. My mom said he's due back at 11 p.m. or so. Whatever. I'm not exactly pleased with him at the moment, so I could care less if he came home tonight or not. I'd prefer not, but you know...I still live here and it's not Burger King so I can't have it my way. HA!

Decisions...decisions

So e-mail from the Alumni Association I went on the Carnival cruise with last month.

Now, for those of you who are interested in becoming even more serious cruisers, we are planning a much bigger (and more expensive) Caribbean cruise for October of this year. We are inviting all Biola friends to join us for a 7-day Holland America Caribbean Cruise, planned by Inspiration Cruises, departing from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, on October 27, 2007, and concluding on Saturday, November 3. If you would like more information on this cruise, please just reply to this email and I'll get a brochure in the mail to you right away!

I'm of two minds to reply back. I know I'd be going by myself since Lora said it'd take her a couple years to save up for another cruise (and she wants to go to Alaska), but I'd be "going with" people on this cruise and whether I do any of the events with them or not, that's up to me. There's no harm in replying back to the e-mail, getting the information and making my decision from there. And hey...I could see my brother, his family, Marissa, Kelly, Kim, Tori and anyone else who lives in the area. It'd be too much (money & time) to extend it to Thanksgiving, but I think I could maybe do like a couple weeks after the cruise or a couple days before the cruise.

edit: Holy cow! I just looked up the cost of 1 person going on Holland America on the 7 day cruise to the Caribbean and with airfare it's almost $2000! I'll stick with the January 11th, 2008 cruise they're planning. That one I'll have about 8-9 months to plan and save up for. When they said expensive I didn't realize it was going to be double the cost of sending my parents on a 3-day cruise to Mexico! But maybe there will be some kind of group deal making it less? I don't know. I sent sent the e-mail saying that I'd like more information. We'll see how that goes.

It's sad indeed

It's such sad news. I heard parts of it while I was at work. Anna Nicole Smith passed away today in Hollywood, FL. It didn't seem...right...when I heard the DJ talking about it, but when Ryan Seacrest came on saying there was press coverage about it and that he was researching about it for his talk show or whatever he has on E!, I knew it had to be real. I feel bad about what's going to happen to her little girl. Now there's going to be even more fighting going on, and that's even more sad.


Why do I always get ideas for communities on livejournal that'll never be popular? First was a short lived pop news community, then I toyed with the idea of having a fandom cruise community and the latest one is a game community. More specifically a Weakest Link community. I got that idea from playing a game that I downloaded onto my cell phone. None of my communities are ever successful...no matter how much I'd like for them to be. In the hour that I was waiting for the bus, I came up with a ton of ideas and prizes for the winners and I have lots of trivia questions so there'd never be a lack of questions. lol Oh well.

I'm bore now so I'll be ending this.

Yay for new phone

I think my cell is dying (or it needs a new battery) because when it's supposed to be on ring, it vibrates and when it's supposed to vibrate, it rings. I'm going to call T-Mobile and see when I get my free upgrade. I think it was either this month or next month at the latest. I don't want to pay 40 bucks for a new battery only to find out that I have a free upgrade coming my way.

So I called and I found out that I was 2 days away from getting the upgrade, but the lady bypassed it, so a week from tomorrow I'll be getting the Samsung t319.

I can deal for another week with my phone messing up on me. lol

My new contract is for 24 months, so if I move before it's up, I'll be keeping my number for how ever much time is left on the contract, then I'll decide from there what I want to do.

I'm going to go watch my Destiny's Child music DVD, then get dressed and work on my taxes.

Gosh! Such problems!

I called the Super Bowl! I'm so happy got Peyton Manning and the Colts! I didn't watch any of the game, but I managed to catch (part of) Prince perform the Halftime Show (after my dad woke me up 7 times!) and then I went back to sleep.
