so bloody hot!

I straightened my hair just now. It's not completely straight, but it's not all afro-ish either. I don't know why I even bothered either. It's so bloody hot!

And since it's so bloody hot, tomorrow's work day has been canceled. Yay for that, but boo because now I have to take the bus to work. Yeah, the car still isn't working enough for my dad to drive me out there. Although he probably could, and then go to have it worked on and then either pick me up or I could take the bus home (which I'm dreading like the devil!)

My sister gave me the last of the money she owes me. It was more than I was expecting to get. $100. I'm ever so grateful for that too. I promptly put the money in the purse I'll be carrying on the bus and I put that purse in my carry on bag. No way will I be tempted to spend the money this weekend (even though I'll still need to buy snacks for the ride to Florida.

Hmm whatelse...I get paid Sunday!! Wee! I won't be able to do anything with the check until Tuesday because Monday is a holiday, but that's okay. I'll have it and all will be good. Sunday is also the September Birthday celebration at my church. I think 2 or 3 people have birthdays during the month. I know I do (duh!) and Charles (my boss's brother) has his at the end of the month, but there's one other (on 9-17). My god-brother's birthday, I believe. He doesn't come to church though. So it's just Charles and me. We'll be having Subway, chips, popcorn and watching this movie called The Last Sin Eater. I read about it and it looks interesting. I can't wait for that.

My sister wants to go to Santa Barbara with the kids (she wanted her husband to go but he's still leading his double life or whatever and doesn't want to. asshole!) on Monday since it's the last holiday before school starts on Wednesday. My mom kind of invited herself to that, and well if my mom goes, I'm going to go too. I'd stay at home, but someone broke the big living room fan and the apartment is hotter than Hades! My parents have a ceiling fan, there's a ceiling fan in the kitchen and I have a little portable fan in my room, but the rest of the apartment is still hot. My mom suggests I get a ceiling fan, but there's no one to install it. I'd ask my dad, but he flakes too much. I saw these 360 degree fans and they have a remote so when I get back from Florida, I'm going to see about getting one. It's sure to be hot until the end of October or sometime in November.

I can't remember if there's anything else I wanted to babble about so I'm going to end this now. Have a great weekend everyone!

5 days until I leave for Florida
8 days until I arrive in Florida
9 days until my 25th birthday
17 days until my parents' Mexican Cruise
