The pics of me "dressed up"...

yeah..don't have them. Didn't even get dressed up in the other "costume" either. I have a pic of me wearing a pair of big ass glasses, but that's about it.

once I get dressed, I just wasn't feeling the whole thing, so I nixed having pics taken.

Movie trip that was planned for this week has been moved to next week. This weeken is Josh's b-day and I guess he had/has other plans. That's fine with me. I'll have money then. Plus, I don't even think Bobby remembered. Something that caused a cheesy grin to be plastered on my face was that Josh waited around after class and walked me to the bus stop, then walk back to his stop. aww how nice, huh? lol

I'm going to watch the Saw movies (maybe) or some other movie. I'm taping TV shows, but I probably won't watch them until later tonight.

Oh crap! My history test tomorrow! I need to make note cards for the short answer part of the exam. I'm fairly certain that's the only part I'm going to have problems, so to speak, with. Glad we won't have to stick around the full 2 1/2-3 hours of class. Once we finish the test, we can leave. Professor Newman is only giving 2 1/2 hours so everyone HAS to be done by 445-500. Class is scheduled to go from 330-650, but we've been getting out about 530-545...so I'm assuming that's how it's going to be for the rest of the class meetings.

Gonna do my note cards and watch movie.

Have a great night/rest of Halloween!

I AM a female you stoopid horoscope

Virgo
Women are even more important to you today than usual and you should be sure to spend more time in their company. Your own gender doesn't matter, as long as you're able to relate to feminine energy.

But I have more male friends at school and that's where I'm going to be the majority of the day. Boo! I guess that means I have to spend more time with myself. haha

I'm listening to KIIS FM to hear Lance and I just KNOW that he's going to be on when I leave and I don't have my mp3 player anymore to listen to it while I'm gone. Major suckage!

I really messed up my recording last night. I cut them off too soon. For NCIS I missed the preview for next week, but I have 5 days until it's on again, I know I'll see the preview. For Dancing with the Stars I didn't get the ending when they said who was going home. Luckily I'd been texting with Marissa
and I know who left...but I wanted to actually SEE it. Blerg! and I probably missed it if it was shown on Jimmy Kimmel Live (since she was on the show). Oh well, right? I know who left and what was said. I just would have like to see it.

So I need to get dressed and see if my mom or dad can take my picture. Plus I need to e-mail Lora & Colleen about getting my paycheck every week instead of every OTHER week. Oh and I'm still debating on if I want to go to the bank and post office before going to class...but I'll be in my halloween "costume" and I'm just a tad bit embarrassed even though it's nothing really.

Oh joy. I get to hear Britney Spears on Kiis FM but not Lance. *cries*

Today was pretty awesome!

I didn't miss any of my buses, but on my second bus the driver passed people up left and right. Even when people on the bus was like "dude! you're passing people by!" he still didn't stop. Someone called in customer service or whatever and gave the bus number, route number and the driver's number. I hope they get written up good!

Class was awesome as usual (well as usual as it can be for the 3rd meeting) lol Before class, Josh had taken my seat (not knowing I was sitting there before), so I got to sit right next to him! And we actually got to talk. More than last Wednesday. I found out that his b-day is this coming Saturday (I didn't find out how old he is/going to be) and he works at a movie theater. Class starts and we took a quiz - which I think I did poorly on, and the rest of class was small group time. The teacher counted us off by 6s and all the 1s together, 2s together...and so on. I was group 1 and Josh was group 2. I was hoping I was group 2, but group 1 was okay...they were right next to each other and Josh and I sat right next to each other. That's how it stayed the rest of class. *giggle*

Then at the end of class we got our speeches from last week back. I got 90%. Not bad for my first speech. Next Monday we have another speech. It has to be about something that happened on the day & year we were born and the speech is 1 1/2 to 2 minutes long. There's a lot she wants us to include and I don't know how it'll be fit into 2 minutes. I'll try though.

The best part came after class though. Josh, another girl and I were at the elevator talking about the class and the grade we got on the speech and everything, and then when we got to the first floor, he was about the go into the men's room (sorry, tmi) and was like "Do you want to go to the movies sometime this week?" *blinks* what?! of course yes! he laughed at my reaction. I may had said of course yes and then he said that Bobby was going too. I don't care. Bobby's cool. Very funny. So all 3 of us are going to get together sometime this week (Wednesday) and decide when and what movie. Bobby already saw Saw IV so that's probably out. I have no idea what's opening this coming weekend and what opened last weekend.

So I'm really happy right now.

Murphy's law can kiss my butt!

(Almost) everything that could go wrong did go wrong today.

The car doesn't work properly. I wish my MOM would get a new car. Heck, if I had the money, I'd buy a used car. But I don't so I can't. heh

While I did get my homework done and got to work on my stories, I didn't take my history notebook with me to work on my notes.

I got paid, deposited my paycheck via ATM, but couldn't get money out. So I had to ask my dad for the money. Now I owe my dad $24 and my mom $90 something (or I will owe her next week).

I can only pay my cell phone this month and at the end of next month (November) I'll have to triple up on my credit card bill. ick.

I had to call THREE places today to see if they had weekly bus passes and I finally found one. The first 2 places (I went to Ralphs first) had just sold out. meh But my dad is going to take me to get my pass in a bit (3 p.m. ish)

but a big plus! SCHOOL TOMORROW! YAY!! No seriously! I'm excited about going to school tomorrow. lol

oh crapola!

Carrie is on tv right now.

I'm def too chicken to watch that! haha

plus if I do want to watch it, there has to be NO commercial breaks.

Woman's Murder Club starts in like 13 minutes, I've been alseep since 430, I'm flippin' hungry, but don't feel like cooking or know what to cook.

had a dream about this rock band dedicating a song to GC and for some reason I got it confused with The Used and MCR...in my dream. It didn't help that when I wrong up the hardest music was on tv from that Fox tv show the next greatest the band or something. I don't know. I changed the channel and now I have a headache.

I don't know if there's anything going on at the church tomorrow, but I have my bus pass in case no one can take me. I should have gone this morning so that I wouldn't have to go tomorrow.

I'm going to find something to eat now I guess.

I can't be tired already!

Sure I went to bed at like 5 am or something, but still. lol

I just typed up chapter 16 notes and less than half of chapter 17 notes for History. My mind can't take anymore history I'm so tired.

So I'm going to stop. I'll work on more later...after I get some scrapbooking time in.

I've already watched the DVDs I got from Netflix...at least the ones I wanted to watch (I'm not too interested in Prime Suspect anymore).

I can't go to sleep because my sister's kids will be here in a few hours and I know that I can probably sleep for a good 4 or 5 hours. Yeah...I don't trust them to be here unsupervised. Hell, I don't want to be around them at all. Gee, I'm nice huh?!

I hope everyone's Friday is going good.

As much as I love history...

I think speech is going to be my favorite class.

Yesterday
I bought my history book. Procrastinated on studying for a 10 question quiz and working on my 1 1/2 to 2 minute speech. I mad friends with like 3 guys in the class: Bobby, who claims to be Fabulously Gay and Lovin' It!, Mo, who claims to be a nerd deep down and Bobby calls Mo Dizzle, and Jonathan, who likes to be called Josh.

We kind of met weirdly, I guess. Bobby and Mo met in class on Monday during a "get to know your classmates" excercise and then I met all 3 of them yesterday. I was reading, working on my speech and texting with Marissa when Bobby came to the table I was sitting at. I kept doing the whole look at him then look away when he looks at me thing, but I didn't want him to come over...but I knew that he was when I saw him packing up his things and walking my way. He was all "Do you mind if I sit here?" and before I could finish saying no, he was already sitting down and said "good, because I was going to anyway." We laughed and talked about Harry Potter and I was going to text Jeanine and ask her the name of the last Potter movie that came out in the theater because I couldn't remember the name and Bobby was insisting it was Goblet of Fire. I KNEW that it wasn't but I couldn't think of the name. Bobby kept saying Flight of the Phoenix then after a while, Order of the Phoenix came to mind. So we settled that OotP was the best to date. Then another girl, who's name I can't remember, came to the table and asked to borrow my book. I let her use it and after that Josh and Mo came around the same time. Josh sat across the table from me (closest to Bobby) and attempted to study, but Bobby and I kept joking around and laughing pretty loudly. Then Josh and I started to talk and before I knew it, the teacher came and it was time for class to start.

We took the quiz and then went over the answers. Out of 10 questions, I think I missed 3. That's pretty good for not studying. lol After that it was time for the speeches. I was going to volunteer to give my speech first just to get it over with, but Ms Appel (yup, that's how it's spelled) had us to write our name on a piece of paper and she listed all the names she drew and that was the order we went in. I don't remember who went first, but the girl who sits behind me, Phoenix, went second and I went third. I think I went over my speech time by a couple of seconds. Everyone liked it and Ms Appel said that I should go over my speech before hand so I don't go over. Monday we'll get the grades for that speech as well as for the quiz. 13 people had given their speeches and then we had a break. Bobby and I were heading towards and elevator and Josh was kind of following and then when he saw that I was getting on the elevator (the snack bar is on the first floor and class is on the second) he was kind of like, "well...bye" and went back to class. I think he felt left out. I went back to the snack bar and went right back to class and as soon as I walked in the room, Josh stopped what he was doing and went to where I was and kind of...hovered to the right of me. I was looking at these free books on this stand and they were interesting to say the least. Nothing that I'd want to have in my collection. Class was ready to start again and the last 13 people gave their speeches. I was all excited that I was going to get to evaluate Josh's speech, but there was a new guy in class and he threw my counting off. I'm not going to lie...it upset me. lol Because I think by this time, I had already started to have a little crush on Josh.

We finish the speeches and evaluations and it's time to leave. I took longer than planned to get my things together and missed walking out with Josh. But then I saw him walking way across the parking lot and I was trying to hurry and catch up to him, but my friend Dee saw me so we talked for about 10 minutes. I tried keeping an eye on Josh, but by the time we finished talking (she was heading to class) he was already out of sight (again). So I didn't get to see which way he went. That upset me too. lol

I got home at like 730 p.m. or something.

edit: I forgot to mention what Josh's speech was about. He did his speech on the person he admired the most. Jesus. That caught me off guard. Well not really off guard, but I wasn't expecting it and at first I started to brush it off, I didn't want to be preached at in class, but after a while (which wasn't too long because the speeches were only to be 1 1/2-2 minutes long), I felt tears streaming down my face. I didn't even realize it was happening until he was done and I went to clap. I quickly wiped my face before looking over at him.

He goes to the Crystal Cathedral (one of the most beautiful churches I've seen) and I just might had to go when The Glory of Christmas starts in late Novemeber...if I can get tickets!

Today
History was good. I took like 3 pages front and back worth of notes. It's crazy. I think, however, I'm going to type them up. It'll give me something to do since we don't really have an assignment to work on until we individually go on our site visits and type up the paper for that. That paper isn't due until after we get back from Thanksgiving...I have a while to do it. I might go on the site visit next Friday (not tomorrow). Apparently my city has an art museum. I never knew that! I knew exactly where it's at too. I just have to call for their hours and to see what they have on display. Professor Newman said to call the museums to see if any of the displays fit our time line (1865-present).

So back to today. I haven't really made any friends in the class yet, but there is this one lady, Hiam, who I had classes with in the ATC program. She was in class on Tuesday, but not today. If I have the notes typed up and a copy to give to her (if she comes to class next Tuesday), she won't be too behind - we have our first exam next Thursday, Nov 1. Plus, I think that typing them up will help the stuff stick in my head better as I'll be reading them as I type them.

Today we also watched a couple of Kenny Rogers narrated History Channel shows. They were pretty good. I like Kenny Rogers voice. Needless to say, all the way home, I had The Gambler stuck in my head. lol And then I thought of Kare while that song was in my head. I'm an odd one.

Got home about 8:30, had dinner and watched the NCS dvds I got in the mail today.

Tomorrow I'll add more to my notes and type them up, read the next chapter for Speech on Monday and then do the learning style assignment Ms Appel told us to do. I probably won't do it all tomorrow, though. I got my scrapbooking things on Tuesday so I'll work more on that. As long as I have the majority of it done by Sunday and ready to print, I'll be cool.

I'm going to go back and watch NCIS now. My parents are going to be gone pretty early tomorrow morning. There's a conference thing for the churches in our association going on this weekend and my parents and Lora will be going to it. Lora's picking them up at 7 am. I'll still be sleeping Wee!!!

I want to move

I want to move by CSULB but I can't afford it
I want to move by CSUDH but I can't afford it.

my mom keeps saying to look for 2 bedrooms and she'd move with me and then when I got on my feet she'd move out. I don't need a 2 bedroom apartment for 1 person. That's a bit on the crazy size.

but if I had 2 bedrooms, then the second room could be where my computer was crafting stuff was.

but then again, she only mentioned getting a 2 bedroom when I was talking about moving to AZ. Now I'm talking about continuing with school.

I sure do a lot of talking. lol

I should also add I want a better job.

I also realize I didn't updae about yesterday. I'll do that tonight or something.

I want a decent salad...chicken ceasar salad sounds good too.

Seriously Netflix! You suck!

Last week I got CSI: Miami Season 3 disc 1 so the next go around, should be the rest of the season 3 discs. WRONG! Tomorrow I'll be getting NCIS Season 4 discs 1 and 2. I don't know why the skipped the rest of CSI: Miami and went right to NCIS. The remaining CSI: Miami discs are all available. Yeah, that's not going to help me when there are still SIX discs left in season 3! UGH!

And I'm so NOT watching them out of order either! I wanted to report them today that the wrong discs were mailed, but I get this stupid message:

We've Just Shipped This Movie

We've just shipped this movie to you today. Please make sure you haven't mistakenly selected the wrong movie. If you experience difficulty with this movie when you receive it, please report the problem at that time.

Umm I KNOW I didn't mistakenly select the wrong movie. They flat out sent me the wrong ones! Now I have to wait until I get them, tell them they sent the wrong ones and then send them back....and then re-add them to my list. I wish there was a number I could call to bitch someone out!

I won't be doing any calling of anyone and there will be no bitching out. I just don't understand why they'd skip so many and send me something that's 6-8 down on my list.

I'll update about my day and the boys I made friends with a little later. I'm in too much of a GRR mood.

It could be worse, right?

I had yet another great day at school! Though it didn't start out that way and it didn't kind of end that way, it was still great.

I got to school an hour early, grabbed something to eat and went to class. Outside class, I waited, a bunch of people came and I thought I was with them, so I went in. Nope, not the right class *feels stupid* then I started to freak because it was 3 and there was no teacher. THEN I realized that it was only 3 and my class didn't start until 330! Yup!

I felt stupid that's for sure! and as I texted to Marissa
, I swear it's not my first day of school!!

Now it's 330 and the teacher comes. Little old lady! haha some of the cute guys (didn't need to add the descriptor, but whatever) said she could have probably been in a lot of the history. Her brief life history - casino worker for 20 years, has a Bachelors and 2 Masters Degrees and she's been teaching for 10 years. That puts her at 58-68 years old? Math is not my strong subject.

And about the class. It's seems like it's going to be fun. It's set in the US from 12 years after the Civil War to present day

November 1st, 15th and December 6th I have exams with a take home final on the 18th that's due on the 20th. November 29th I have my first report due - a "field trip" to one of several places and then write about it in respect to his history. I'm looking forward to that. Closer to the end of the semester, I have a research paper due and there are several topics I'm interested in that I can do my paper on so I'm anxious to research and pick my topic.

I royally suck. I had to break down and ask my mom to buy my history book for me. Tomorrow she's going to give me the money for that and I'm going pay her with my first check in November.

Tomorrow I have a speech and 15 question quiz. Yay

Okay...watching Dancing with the Stars...I hope next week the contestants dance to FOB! That was great!

I better go work on the speech and read 2 chapters.

I was going to go to campus early...

Then I thought "what for?" I jsut found out that the one teacher I wanted to see is under evacuation orders for San Diego so she might not be to campus this week.

The other reason I would have gone to campus...to speak with a transfer counselor...I've kind of lost desire for that. sad huh? Walk in counseling is from 10-10:30 am and it's usually 10-15 minutes at the most. I don't have class until 3 pm and I know where the class room is, so I'm not going to sit around campus for 4 1/2 hours doing nothing. I did that yesterday, well for 2 1/2 hours. it was borning. I did catch up on my reading, but I was still bored.

So today I'm not leaving until 12:30 pm. I'll get to see The View (if it's not pre-empted for fire coverage) and that's oneless thing I have to record. I lucked out of having to record everything I wanted to record last night, so I'm hoping tonight is the same way, though I do have the VCR set just in case.

Right before I had this weird dream my dad had throat cancer and he tried telling me but I brushed him off because I didn't want to talk to him. Different things happened and then I get this call from my dad demanding to know what I told my mom. I kept saying nothing and he didn't believe me (not a shock there) and so I asked him what happened to my mom and he said that she found out about his having cancer and disappeared. Then Niles and Daphne from Fraiser and Booth and Bones from Bones were in my dream, as well as a few other faces I can't place, and they were having this whole out of body experience where the "live" people could see the spirits of the "dead" people floating above and all they had to say was some simple phrase and the spirits would go back to their right bodies. For some reason, they wouldn't say the phrase, so Fraiser said it under his breath and Daphne went back into her body, and as she did that, I felt this bump behind my head...like my cat does when she jumps behind me to get into the window and that woke me up. I looked up and can see the cat wedged between the window and the screen, so there's no way it could have been her...so it had to be her spirit waking me up as it was going back to her body.

The time when I woke up? 8 am. The time I needed to wake up, but wouldn't have if I stayed alseep.

Believe it or not...I don't care. But I'm beginning to believe a lot in what Sylvia Browne.

New fire in the area of the 210 and 215 freeways - Rancho Cucamonga. This is freaking crazy! I tried calling home yesterday when I was leaving class, about 5 pm, and no one answered...I thought something bad happened in my city. But none of them are close to where I live.

I just read this on the California Department of Forestry and Fire's website:

That's A LOT of fires going on!

Live with Regis & Kelly is going to be pre-empted, but there was no mention of The View so I hope that's still going to be on.

Speech 100

Class today was cool.

Wednesday we have our first speech AND first quiz. I need to pick up scantrons tomorrow. Luckily I was given some money (for making up address labels for one of the seniors my mom works with) so I can get those as well as have some money for snack.

I'm glad I have at least one book.

Tomorrow is History. I won't have the book for that. The payment couldn't go through on my card for various reasons. I'll have to get it next week.

I got home in about 2 hours, I think. I got out of class at 4:50, and by 6:35 I was getting on the bus that drops me off in front of my apartment and getting home at 6:45. I hope I have the same luck tomorrow. I get out at 6:40 and get my first bus at 7:11...but eww 2 hours would put it at nearly 9 p.m. or shortly after. I have my fingers crossed that class doesn't go all the way until 6:40 and that I'm able to catch the buses I need.

It's midnight, so I should get to bed.

mlerg

I don't know what that means, but it just came out.
I went to the campus bookstore and of the three books I bought with me to sell back, only 2 of them were bought. I paid like $50 something for the books COMBINED and what did I get back? $3.50! OMFG! Is that all the books are worth these days!? But I took it since I'd had the books listed on half.com for like 2 or 3 weeks and didn't get anything. Well, there's bus money for the week or snack money for the day. I haven't decided.I have an appointment with a transfer counselor for today at 4 p.m. I hope my class is done by then or I'm SOL when it comes to class. I don't see my class going to 4:50 on the first day...not when we meet again on Wednesday...then again, this is a 9 week course and what would have been taught in 16 or 18 weeks has to be crammed into 9 weeks. mlerg again!Today's horoscope:Virgo
You need to take extra time to cope with the crazy details of your work today -- they are going to be more confusing than ever before. Now is the best time for you to check in with the powers that be.I have 2 1/2 hours until my class starts. what to bloody do! I hope someone (teacher wise) from the atc program comes. I'd like to visit and pick up my projects from last year. There's a fire burning in Orange/Irvine and I could see the orange glow here in Cypress/Buena Park. Lovely. It's making breathing a bit hard for me. I didn't feel this way during the San Bernardino wildfires (I think they were this year).

SoCal's on fire!

I woke up this moring to almost all the TV stations coverng the news. There's at least 10 or 15 fires going on. All that loss is sad.

We're in desperate need of rain, but now, I almost don't want it to come because if it does, then there'll be mudslids like crazy.

This is a pretty sucky place to live right now.

Since fire is on all the channels, shows are being pre-empted. I stopped my VCR from recording anymore of what's on ABC. GMA isn't on regular TV, but it's digital cable counter-parts. Sucks for me. I don't have cable. I hope someone's able to post Lance's interview. I hope the rest of the day/week's shows aren't pre-empted.

And in other "news" I'm dressed for school. My bus doesn't come until 9:40 am, but my dad has to take my mom to the Retirement Center, so I'm going to hope a ride with them. It'll save me 40 minutes so that's good.

I better go see about packing some snacks (of which we don't have) to take with me. I have no spending money to buy any on campus for the rest of the month.

fan-freaking-tastic

I forgot to call Lora yesterday asking to have my paycheck early so I was going to do it today and when I get into church, I hear Colleen telling John that Lora is sick and won't be in. She probably worked herself until she got sick. And last week she was just saying how October 31st is flu shot day at her job. She probably won't be able to get that.

But what's worse, for me, is that I'm hella overdrawn ($-94.79) in my checking account. I have been for the last 5 days...well now it's more. And if in another 5 days I don't bring the account to balance, it'll be closed. *sighs* I have all of $0.65 in my paypal account, $0.61 in my ING account and I can't ask my parents for money because their money went to pay bills and I believe my sister doesn't have any either (at least that's what I gathered because the kids didn't have money to put in their lunch accounts at school), but I'm still going to ask...no harm in asking, right?

Colleen just came in and asked me if I was going to be okay in not having my paycheck early...I forgot she reads my myspace blogs. lol I didn't want to say that I wasn't going to be okay...that my checking account was going to be closed at the end of the week, but *sighs* I just said I'd ask my sister.

I feel like screaming or something!

October 22 and 23 the bookstore on campus is doing it's mid-term buy back so I'm going to take two or three of my books back and see if they'll be bought back. I hope they will. There are only two reason I think they wouldn't: they aren't going to use the book anymore or they have too many copies. One book I bought in the Spring (January) for an English class I thought I'd have to take, and the other I bought in the Fall (September 06) for classes and all of them are in great condition. I have them listed on Half.com, but the prices they suggested were CRAZY! I paid $80 something for one book and it was being sold online for $10! That's crazy! So like I said, tomorrow I'm going to take the books and hope I'm able to sell them back.

So school tomorrow. I have my clothes out for the week, tonight I'll pack my bag with my notebook, reading book for the bus and some snacks. I also have to remember to bring my notes that I made about transfer classes and transferring in general. I want to talk with someone in the transfer center (I have an appointment on Thursday, but I want to do it tomorrow) about...duh...transferring and if the classes I have listed are the ones I'll need to take in the Spring (January 08) in order to actually transfer. AND if not having those classes completed at the time of applying to CSULB and CSUDH will hurt. I hope it doesn't. My first class of the week is Speech. I was it was History. Or that there was a PoliSci class I could have taken. Those are 2 classes that I really like.

Hmm I don't think there's anything else. I can't think of anything else. I'm going to get a head start on my work for next Friday/Saturday.

Christmas music

I'm listening to Christmas music! Woo!

I'd listening to Halloween music, but I don't have any :(

some things

In +/- format

+/- was able to postpone jury duty (that would have started 10/22) until 12/24. haha suckers! but this could come back to bit me in the ass...as long as I'm done by January 14th, it's all good.
+/- contemplating asking for my paycheck a week early. I still have that other book to get, plus some smaller supplies I'll need for my Speech class (namely note cards and a holder), plus next week is transfer week. I'd like to put my applications in early...and that means needing $$. the application fee is $55 and I don't know if that's per application or not.
- post office is being mean. I know some office has my scrapbooking supplies! I want them darn it!

I totally know there was something else, I just can't remember! UGH! I'm gonna go watch Prime Suspect 1 now.

I think it's time to delete some files!

My hard drive is finally full. Music and photos have taken up a BUNCH of space. I've taken a lot of my important school and money related papers and put those on my flash drive. All that's left is the music and photos.

I'm working on the photos now. I'm uploading them all the their appropiate photobucket accounts and then I'm going to delete them off the hard drive. Hopefully that'll free up enough space that I can do regular tasks (like work on homework or work for church).

Music is something different. Since I STILL haven't figured out why I can't completly burn music CDs, the music is just sitting there. Now is when I wish I still worked at the office in Torrance! I could burn CDs on that computer! Hell, i don't even know what happened to the blank CDs we had! I found them, but I'm weary to try and burn anything because if it doesn't work, then that's a wasted CD.

edit:
I'm going to burn all my documents to a CD and delete them off the hard drive. It's still not going to free up a bunch of space, but it's a starting point and when I finish even more space will have been freed up.

edit 2: I'm able to save my music as files and not actual mp3s that I can listen to on my CD player. I'll only be able to listen to them on the computer, and that's okay with me. The more that's off the hard drive, the better. I'm still keeping the zipped up CDs though.

About an hour ago a police officer came and knocked on the door. FREAKED ME OUT! They were looking for someone and thought he lived here. I remember my parents mentioning something about police being at the street over and when my mom got home today at 9 pm, she said they were still down there. I went back and looked at 9:10 pm and saw the police leaving. Seems Elm Vista is back to being a bad block...just like it was when I was growing up. That's sad.

So how about that homecooked meal?

I just finished making dinner - spaghetti and meat sauce (I would have made meat balls had a really felt like preparing them) and hopefully a salad if I can get a hold of one of my parents and ask them to get some.

But in any case...a lot of times when I cook, I get this mood to have a dinner party (complete with really nice dinnerware and silverware) and invite my friends and just have a real fun time.

Sadly, the little apartment I live in with my parents isn't big enough for that. But if it were, and there was ample street parking, I totally would! I'd invite 5 or 6 of my friends, cook them a nice dinner, and listen to some music.

Maybe one day! I'm a really good cook!

I'm watching Fangs and I don't know why I'm watching it. I'm not chicken to say that I'm kind of easily scared. lol I think I'll watch the DVDs that came. Prime Suspect 1 disc 2 and CSI: Miami season 3 disc 1. I also have two Anne of Green Gables movies. I don't remember the first one being over 2 hours long when I first watched it as a kid in the 3rd grade. I guess it was because we watched 30-45 minutes of it a day until we finished it. And I've never seen the sequel to it either. I didn't even know there was a sequel until I saw it on Netflix.

I'm just a big ball of mess

Bullet format because I'm too lazy to form complete paragraphs or whatever.

  • Sunday my mp3 player fried. Soda spilled in my purse and it was in the bottom and got soaked. My cell phone was also in the bottom of my purse, but it's okay. So now, I have no mp3 player...and it couldn't have come at a more horrible time - I start school next week...I won't be able to listen to music while on the bus. So I'll have to read. I don't mind that. I just wish I could listen to much as well. I don't want to take my CD player because that and the CDs take up too much space.
  • I totally spaced on watching The Singing Bee last night. I was so excited about actually getting to watch NCIS that I forgot about the first show. Baseball is on FOX, so that means no Bones, thus I watched NCIS and completely forgot about The Singing Bee and now the community on LJ I bleong to won't be updated until next week. I don't think anyone will too much miss there were no songs from The Village People (and really...are there 30 minutes worth of songs? lol I only know YMCA and In the Navy or whatever it's title is).
  • The operating system on my computer SUCKS! I can't watch any of the movies/TV shows I want to see that Netflix is offering through the Watch Instantly feature. I am paying $26 a month, so I should be able to enjoy that feature, right?!
  • We finally have a second computer set up in the living room. It "belongs" to my dad, yet he still uses mine...as does my mom (and to play games!) But on this second computer, movies can be watched. It's jumpy though because there isn't enough cache space or something? I don't know exactly. But my dad watched one of the Bones dvds when my mom was in the room watching something else. I bet, I could also watch some of the Watch Instantly movies offered through Netflix too.
  • Today or tomorrow Wherehouse.com should get the first box of things I sold to them. Hopefully the start of next week I'll get the check from them too. Yesterday I sold $23.50 more worth of stuff to them. I don't know when I'll get around to mailing the box out though. It's going to be at least another $5 and I don't have that.
  • Also should be getting the things I ordered from Scrap Your Trip. It was shipped yesterday, I believe, so soon...like Thursday or Friday or even as early as tomorrow!
There's a ton more stuff going on in my brain...I just can't get it to come out.

I need more containers

And the Container Store is looking more and more appealing!

I want to get rid of all the cardboard boxes I have and transfer the stuff to plastic containers so that they can be taken out to the garage (or storage) and be out of my room!

My desk is all cleaned off and I was able to move some notebooks from the floor in front of my bed to the desk. I still have 2 or 3 cardboard boxes of things to go through at the foot of my bed, as well as crap filled boxes in the corner of my room.

I don't know where this sudden "get rid of crap and don't look back" desire came from, but I like it! lol I only wish I could go all the way, so the speak and really do my room the way I want - plastic box everything and stack it up until there's space in the garage. I also need to hurry and get a jumbo plastic box for my *N SYNC stuff. I don't want another storm to come and ruin the stuff. So far I think I escaped with the stuff not getting damaged in the last storm, but I don't know how much longer that luck will last.

I also need to remember to ask my dad if he can take me to storage tomorrow so that I can see the unit he has and if there's any way some of my stuff can go in there. I don't mind giving him half the amount of the unit, but I want to make sure I'm using half the unit I'm paying for (if I go that route).

NCIS should be starting soon, so I need to clean off my bed and get ready for that.

Oh if only I believed what I joked about with my friends

I'm finally getting around to cleaning off my desk (that I hope to either get rid of or put to better use) and I found an envelope with momentos from when I flew Illinois/Indiana to meet some online friends (the first 2 people I ever met irl who I was friends with online) and go to a couple of *N SYNC concerts.

Well in those momentos were 2 notes that I was going to give to Lance...proclaiming my undying love for him...and giving him my digits!

I had to laugh at how silly I was in 2002. Still ballsy though. at the last minute I had bought my first concert ticket (that I didn't win on the radio) back in march 2002 to see the guys and begged my mom to take me to the Anaheim Pond (I don't even know what it's called now!) and pick me up after the concert because I had already bought my ticket for the concert. Well I went to the concert, had a blast, then about 2 weeks later, a couple of my friends convinced my to fly out to Illinois/Indiana to see the guys again, and I did that. I think I was there like April 2nd or 3rd to April 7th. We went to the concerts on the 4th and 5th. That was a fun trip. Sad that part of the friendship had to end a few years later though.

But anyways...I was a dork then. I don't even know what I was thinking writing the notes. It's not like he would have gotten them...and actually called me!

That's all the silliness. I'm going to clean off my bed, make lunch and watch tv. I'm sad that I didn't get any good mail.

Has it really been that long!?

There was this guy Manuel I had a...thing...with for the summer. He's much older than me. At the time, I was 18 and he was 27 (I believe). I knew it wasn't going to go away where. He had a 16 ot 18 month old son and I suspected he was still pining for his ex (son's mother) and I didn't want to deal with any baby mama drama.

So like I said, it never went anywhere.

So here it is 6 years later and I get an IM from him. Do I remember him? Of course I do. So we're chatting and everything and I ask him how old his son is...7 years old. I can't belive it's been that long! I mean, I know it has, but still. It just doesn't feel like it.

So that's that.

Yesterday I spent the day afternoon with Staci. Last week she got a little turtle and I guess Friday she got paid and yesterday we went to Petco to get her supplies for it. She spent over $100 for a $5 turtle she bought in downtown LA! That's crazy. And after 40 minutes in Petco, she has everything she needs, we leave and head to her apartment where she asks me to help her set it up, but I end up doing all the work! All she did was rinse off everything and bring water to me when I asked for it. I mean COME ON! This is her freakin' pet and she's not going to know jack about it! I get everything put together only to realize that she doesn't have a heat source for the turtle to dry off under so we go to another Petco, spend another $30 and go back to her place. It's all set up and running properly. Today she should be able to add the turtle to it's new home as it's all be set up and running for 24 hrs. I did get a thank you, so that's good right? And she did buy me a soda and muffin top at the mall, so that's good, too.

I bought my book for my speech class and like I figured, it's a new edition so it's not available used, so I had to buy it new. $85.28! Now I'm overdrawn in my account and desperate to sell my used textbooks that I don't need anymore...as well as some other books. The non-school books I'll probably have to donate to my library because I can't find anyplace to sell them, and half.com and amazon.com weren't any help the first time around when I tried to sell these books. I have, however, finally mailed the CDs and DVDs I sold to Wherehouse. Within a week or so I should get a check for that. But anyways...I still need to get my history book and I won't be able to get that until my next paycheck. Oh and there's also rumor with some of the other students who are in my classes, that there might be another book, bringing the total number of books i'll need to 4 and that means more money! Grrr!

There's a part time administrative assistant position I saw with OfficeTeam. I called the person dealing with that position and he said he'd pass my resume on to the company and be in touch with me if they want to set up an interview or want me to start working. Three pluses about this job: It's part time, it's $12/hr and it's in Cypress. I go to school in Cypress so that's great. I only hope my school schedule won't keep me out of the running for this job. I'm at school 2-5 on MW and 3-6 TTH.

sometimes I don't want to have a subject or title

Even though my TV messed up last night, I was still able to watch Dr. Who. When the TV started to mess up, I turned off the primary VCR and turned on the second one and that worked just fine...so that leads me to believe that my TV problems aren't necessarily with my TV, but with my VCR. I have no idea what's wrong with it though. So far it hasn't messed up any of my recordings *crosses fingers* so I'm not exactly to the point of tossing it and buying a new one.

Hmmm what else...

I had this weird dream and some of the characters from Harry Potter were in it...but not really. lol There was mention of muggles and they were trying to figure out genetically how they happen or something. I don't know. Then suddenly, I was in this really really nice house and that partly in the country and part in the city. The house had wood floors through out and there were this huge night windows. The funny thing though, when I first got to the house, I was standing outside my neighbor's apartment, but when I unlocked the door it was inside this nice house. Also, there were a lot of people who lived in the house. It was me, and I'm guessing my parents - or at least my mom, my brother, sister in law, maybe their girls, my brother's best friend's wife and their 3 children and my sister's kids?! I had my own room, but when I went in it, my sister's kids crap was all over the place and I got pissed off and my mom was telling me to calm down or whatever. I tossed their stuff into the hallway. And there was this big black bear that was house trained and it was very odd. As most of my dreams are. haha

I'm ready for this day to be over...or at least church so I can go home. I'm freezing cold in my office and I'm boycotting church because it's boring, but I still have to come...dad's stupid rule!

Saturday, October 13, 2007

Now my TV really is the end of me

My TV has been on the fritz for a few days now. It goes and comes as it pleases...and when it goes, it can be gone for hours leaving to turn it off and listen to music. I can't even play a dvd or video because the image or whatever on the TV is messed up.

actually, I haven't tried watching a DVD when it messed up.

but that's not the point.

Dr. Who is supposed to come on soon and I want to watch that, but if it messes up, I won't be able to see it...and that means I'll have to watch something else (duh)

meh!

I got a lot of my journaling done for the pages that I have completed with my scrapbook. I'm just waiting for the other stuff I ordered and I'll get back to work...then in a couple more weeks, I'll order more supplies. I should be done with my scrapbook by the end of the year. YAY!

Speaking of things to be done in a couple weeks...JURY DUTY! UGH! I have to call on 10/21 to see if I need to go in on 10/22. I hope I don't because...one class starts 10/22 and the other starts 10/23. *crosses fingers that I'm able to get out of it again*

what the hell is she smoking...

Or in this case, DRINKING?!

My mom is reading a cook book (she's insisting that I add the book to my collection and I kept telling her that A. I don't cook enough to warrant having TEN cookbooks and B. it can stay in the kitchen until I move) and she's keeps saying how Chianti (Pronunciation: Chi·an·ti \kÄ“-ˈän-tÄ“, -ˈan-\ ) sounds pretty and someone can name their child that.

Umm excuse me?!

Pretty or not, I wouldn't name my child after a wine! MAYBE if I was a world class traveller, I could convince people that it was named after a region in Italy...Tuscany to be precise.

But still. That's pushing it.

And at least she didn't say I could name my child that. She said that maybe if Richie and Nieves have another child, they could. Umm yeah, highly doubt both of those happening.

In other less ghetto sounding news...I've gotten an e-mail about ordering more graduation prints from University Photography. Uhh what?! It's 4 months PAST the deadline, yet I can still order prints? Even if I wanted to, I wouldn't go back through them. They're expensive1! I can take the print(s) I already have and go to walgreens, walmart or longs drugs and have copies made...and for much less.

I have to go to work today and I don't have bus fare. Luckily my dad said he'd take me if I hurry up and got ready...Umm I've been dressed since 10 am and it's now 10:45 am. He and my mom are the ones who need to hurry. My dad's bank closes at 1 p.m. and my mom has to be at work at 1:30. As long as I get my work done by tomorrow, preferably by the end of today, then I don't care when I go to the church - I'd just like for it to be before it gets dark.

It's only been like 20 something hours since I finished the last episode of Charmed and I already miss watching the show. lol actually I think I just miss watching good dvds. I have lots of movies, several new ones that my parents have watched but I haven't and 2 movies that are still in the plastic wrap and 1 netflix that my parents are done with and that I haven't seen. I just don't feel like watching them. I'd much rather watch
Charmed.

My dad told me Order of the Phoenix is playing at the $2.75 ($2 without tax) theater. That made me happy to hear. I might go see it again when I get money/the time.

Can't think of anything else. Toodles!

Friday, October 12, 2007

this really sucks

I broke my vow to myself that I would watch ONE Charmed season 1 disc every other day, but since last night, I've watch THREE! I only have 2 more discs left for season 1, then I have to wait until the end of the month to buy season 2 and I won't get it until the beginning of November! GAH!

The show is so addicting! Towards the end of the series, my dad and I used to watch it all the time. I can't believe it's been almost 16 months since it's ended! It seems like forever ago that it was on.

And, no, I haven't gone to sleep. I've been up since 10 am Thursday morning! Fun times!!

I shouldn't be hungry at 6:45 am. I don't usually get hungry until 11 or noon (if I think about it)

TV is going to rot my brain!

TV should be good tonight. Sad that I don't feel like watching it. lol

Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise comes on MyNetwork TV/KCOP. I'm not going to watch it, but I knew what it was from the preview at asscrack in the morning when I was flipping channels before going to sleep. I'm going to record Grey's Anatomy and Without a Trace. Like I said, I don't feel like watching tv.

So what am I going to do? Watch DVDs.

I started on Bones Season 2 episode 22, but never actually watched it. Also I have Prime Suspect 1 to watch. Then there's Escape to Witch Mountain/Return from Witch Mountain and Alien Invasion Arizona...all from Netflix. On top of ALL OF THAT I have the next disc of Charmed to watch and Miss Marple's 4:50 from Paddington. See! Plenty, maybe too much, stuff to watch!

It's any wonder my mind hasn't turned to mush and that I learn anything! HAHA

That sounds like me

Last night I was watching this movie called Belle and the Beast: A Christian Romance on TBN and the main girl, Belle, sounded a lot like me...only in the educational sense.

Belle got her degree in English, was working part time as a dental assistant and this man's personal assistant and she was going to school to get her MBA.

If you know me, you can see my thinking.

I got my degree in Travel/Tourism (granted it's not my bachelor's like Belle from the movie) and I'll be going back to school to get my degree (this time my bachelor's) in Political Science and I'm working part time as a secretary (and looking for any other part time job I can find).

See the similarities? lol

Anyways...I ordered more scrapbooking things. Luckily I get paid on Sunday. Downside...I won't have my books the first week of school. I can MAYBE get one book but both books are new editions, therefore aren't offered used and they're each $70-$80. I can MAYBE get one this paycheck and then get the other with my next paycheck. Meh!

This is why I need another job!

I'm going to grab something to drink and watch my movies.

Toodles!

Now I can get back to scrapbooking

I've been scrapbooking for HOURS...well last night I was. I had to stop because I've run out of supplies. lol I've done all I can with what I previously had and now I have to wait until I get more money to buy more supplies.

I have to buy concert/music things, Japanese things, transportation/bus things and I'm sure there's other stuff. I should probably make a list, right? lol

But this is what I have so far...
FYI...where ever there's a post it note or blank space is where I have to do my journaling and I'll do that this weekend.

More to come...as soon as I work on them.

this is stupid, but it made me laugh

This is stupid, but it made me laugh

A friend sent that to me in an e-mail. Scary how very similar they are!

In more frustrating news, I can't get the LJ poll to work right! It previews fine, but when I go to post it (in HTML format) it just shows up as a list, and not the actual poll. I'm going to keep trying.

Pfft! Student free day

The kids are out of school tomorrow because of Columbus Day. But the school is calling it a student free day. Even they're sick of the kids.

I joke!!

But every time there's a freaking holiday, my sister's kids come here and I'm stuck with them. Why don't they go with her? Because she's a teacher at a Christian/Lutheran school and they don't observe all the holidays.

I'd like to create a family free day where everyone in my family (minus my brother and his family because they're cool) leaves me the heck alone! No asking me to do anything around the house, no asking me to watch your bad ass kids, no coming to me to ask me stupid questions, and surely no using my computer and then asking me why something went wrong or how to do something or whatever.

I'm telling you, journal, if I would have gone to that out of state college back when I got out of high school, I would not be where I'm at today.

Sick of my family? Well not really sick of my family, just the crap I've gone through with them.

But the movies tonight...yes movies. we saw 2 of them at church. They were good. First was The Las Sin Eater. I really liked it. It wasn't at all predictable. Second was Facing the Giants. It got predictable towards the end, but I love me some football movies! Remeber the Titans and We Are Marshall are the only 2 I can think of that would compare to the one I saw tonight. I haven't seen We Are Marshall, but it's on my list of movies to buy.

I need to finish cleaning the kitchen and take the trash out before going to bed. I can't believe I missed tv tonight. It's okay though. The Angels loosing really ticked me off.

Oh Canada

I was working on my calendar and noticed that tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day in Canada

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends!

Now back to work I go!!

I love my high school!

Wikipedia has some pretty interesting stuff about this school. I wish there was more though.

Downey High School

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Downey High School is one of two senior high schools located in the Los Angeles suburb of Downey, California, and within the Downey Unified School District. It is located at 11040 Brookshire Ave. At the present time the school has an enrollment of about 3,790 students, of a variety of racial and ethnic backgrounds and socio-economic levels.

Currently, Tom Houts is the principal. In addition to him, there are five other administrators, as well as seven full-time counselors. The instruction staff consists of 155 teachers and the operation functions with the assistance of a staff of 85 specialized employees (custodians, secretaries, nurses, security guards, etc.)

Recent Achievements

The Downey High School Jazz Ensemble made history on June 23, 2006, when they were the first ever high school band to perform at the Hollywood Bowl, receiving a standing ovation. Becoming the "first ever" high school band to perform such a feat was widely considered impossible in the year 2006, given the dozens of high school bands to previously grace the bowl's stage dating back to as far as 1963.

The Downey High School Drumline and Percussion Ensemble were awarded 1st place Championship in the Open Division and Concert Division from the American Drumline Association in 2005.

Athletics

The school has great athletic background in the fields of Wrestling and Girls Water Polo (two consecutive CIF Div. VI Championships in 2005 and 2006). Currently Volleyball (both boys and girls) is the second best (Girls Water Polo been the best) overall athletic program offered at the school and consistently making CIF semi-final/final appearances.

The Allen Layne Stadium is one of the most advanced stadiums and training facilities in high school level in the Los Angeles area. It is a site for practice for visiting lacrosse teams for Universities, such as University of Michigan.

Famous alumni

Clubs and Organizations:

The school has over 30 clubs and organizations including Key Club (I was apart of KIWINS which I think is now Key Club), LEO club, Normaneers, Eco Club, Science Club, JSA, Future Teachers of America, and many more. LEO club has demonstrated many community tasks throughout the area. They contributed to many causes.

The damn cat litter dust is still effecting me...15 minutes later! I have a headache and my eyes are all cloudy from it! UGH!

at least one team made it through

While I'm upset with the Yankees and Angels, more so the Angels, I'm glad the Diamondbacks got their series.

I just can't believe the Yankees and Angels are down 2-0.

They have to win the next 3 games or I will be very upset.

In other news, I think I found a couple of apartments in AZ that I like. I don't know why I'm looking since I still have another 2-4 years of school. haha What I really wish, though, is that the studio apartment in the complex next to mine wasn't $900-$1000/month!

computer access

Gonna be busy (movies and parties and stuff), won't be online much. Gonna try for an hr a day, but that's if no one else needs the 'puter or is already on it.

Toodles!

My mom starts her new job today

She'll be working (more) at the retirement home she used to volunteer at. Saturdays and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. she'll be the receptionist. And on Mondays she's at the same retirement home from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. doing crafts and playing games.

It's good that she's going out and working (and they'll be paying her regularly), but that means I'm going to be at home with my dad more. UGH! I don't like that.

I only have about 11 more days until my classes start and I'll be gone Monday-Thursday 10 am to 8 pm Wee!!! Yay for school starting soon!!

Speaking of school...on the 9th I need to get to campus by 2 p.m. because a rep from CSUDH will be at the Transfer Center. I missed the rep from CSULB on Wednesday. I thought it was 10/10 the rep was going to be there and not 10/3. I don't know when they're going to be around again and that sucks. I have 2 application workshops and a financial aid workshop on 10/22. Sadly, I think one or two of the workshops is during my class so I won't be able to go to the workshop. On 10/25 I'm going to be on campus pretty much the whole day. There's a transfer day fair from 10-1 and then CSULB transfer admission workshop from 1:30-2:30 and then class.

I have a BUSY first week of school. I can't wait!!

I knew it would happen

I told my sister about why I didn't let Jasmine have her cup of noodles and she said next time that happens to call them and not let them go without eating. and that noodles and carrots was okay for them to eat.

Bitch please! Them not eating until dinner isn't going to kill them! And on top of that, I didn't tell Jasmine she couldn't have the carrots. She chose to stop eating them when I wouldn't let her have the cup of noodles.

But now I know it's okay for them to eat. But it doesn't matter. I'm going to make sure I'm not here when they get out of school. I don't want to deal with them or my sister. My parents are going to have to figure out who's going to be here when the kids get here because I'm through!

Thanks Snark-O-Tron!

Should I tell people that Lynette from Desperate Housewives and Lizet are dating? I mean, they're always making out in at Applebees.

In other news, I totally bitched at my sister's kids about when and where they can eat. They get 30 minutes a day at school for lunch and every week (I think) my sister gives EACH OF THEM money for lunch. FOR LUNCH. It's not my fault if they spend that money on other stuff and aren't able to eat at school.

Now if my sister tells me that it's okay for them to have something when they get here after school (whether they have lunch or not) I'm going to shit and then start going to work during the week. I simply won't deal with them anymore. Marlin knows the rule and I only had to tell him once, but Jasmine...I have to tell her ALL THE TIME! She brings a cup of noodles, snack size bag of carrots and Capri Sun drink thinking that she's going to be able to eat it here. WRONG! She needs to either watch how she spends her weekly money or take a lunch to school.

They DO NOT need to eat lunch at 12 or 12:30 p.m. get home at 3:45 pm then expect to eat here when they're going to get home at 6:30 or 7 p.m. and have dinner. Now if my sister tells me she's going to get here late and can that eat dinner here, sure, I'll let them have a cup of noodles or make them dinner (if we ever have food to do that).

And no I don't believe them when they tell me things. I have to hear it directly from my sister (or my mom if I didn't talk to my sister).

These kids are the reasons I seriously think about not having kids. I can't deal with the way that act. Now that's not to say that all kids are like that, because I know they aren't. And they aren't like that just when they are here. They give my sister a hard time as well.

Before lunch and TV

My DVDs came from Columbia House today so I'll be watching those. I'm going to start with one of the Miss Marple DVDs and then tonight I'll watch disc 1 of Season 1 of Charmed. I have to really make these dvds last because I'll only be able to buy 1 (maybe 2 ) series a month (if I'm lucky).

Yup, that's all the mail.

I need to figure out my VCRs. they're cutting off way too soon for the things that I record. Or maybe TV shows are running over? I don't know. But I missed the last 2 or 3 minutes of
Grey's Anatomy. but luckily I was actually watching the TV when the VCR stopped recording. I think now I'm going to have to go 10 minutes into the next hour to make sure I have everything recorded. I already start 3 minutes before the scheduled start to make sure I have the beginning.

I'm kicking myself for not watching
Brothers & Sisters on Sunday. From the previews of next Sunday's episode, it looks like last Sunday was something I shouldn't have missed. I bet come this Sunday, I'm not going to want to watch it again (opting for Shark like last time).

Lunch and TV calls!

Grey's Anatomy OMG!

Last night I didn't feel like watching Grey's Anatomy so I recorded it. Now I'm watching the recording and OMG!

Ben Vereen! He's a great actor!

I don't like Mama Burke. I don't know if it's because she was too protective of Burke or she just didn't like Cristina, but I didn't like her. Though the "advice" she gave George about not being married out of obligation makes sense. edit: wow, Mama Burke was actually nice to Cristina!

I want George and Callie to stay together.

I thought it was odd that Alex kept smelling the baby's hair. I thought it was alcohol he was smelling...not meth! And he shouldn't have confronted that father without someone else (the police) being there. That was crazy!

I don't remember the preview for next week's episode and that sucks! anyone know if it's on youtube?

I'm off to watch the rest of the recording. I think I maybe have 15-20 minutes left.

where be my pictures?!

Walgreens called to tell me my pictures were ready. I knew that. I put them through 1 hr photo on Monday, so they were ready then, but I didn't have a way to get to the store to pick them up. Yes, the store is on a bus line, but with both my parents being gone during the day, someone has to be here for when the kids get out of school, and there was no sure way I'd be home by 315 when they got home from school.

So I called my dad and asked him to get them on his way home from work, if he had the money, or to come home and pick me up so that I could get them. He said that if he had the money, he'd get them. If not then he'd have to pick me up and take me to get them.

Until then, I'll be working on my scrapbooking. Enid
told me about this AWESOME scrapbooking website (Scrap Your Trip) and it has all these travel locations and I'm in HEAVEN at that site! I already have marked my page for when I went to Okinawa Japanese for my birthday dinner, there's some stuff for all the states I went through and some beach stuff. And not to mention there's a military section that I'm going to use for my pages when I went to the AFAM (Air Force Armament Museum) and saw all the planes. So now I'm all anxious to get my pictures and more money so that I can really get busy on this scrapbooking. I also need to buy 1 or 2 smaller scrapbooks (5x5 or 8x8) to scrap my 2 Arizona trips.

Hmm what else...I ordered Breach and Zodiac from Netflix and they're supposed to arrive today. Last week I ordered Charmed, Season 1 and Miss Marple Collection 1 from Columbia House so they should be arriving soon too. I wish they'd hurry and come! I could watch the stuff I bought in between what I rent from Netflix, then I wouldn't have to worry about "nothing good being on tv" lol

Speaking of tv...is it going to be good tonight? There's nothing I watch during the 8 p.m. hour so I'll watch a movie, 9 p.m. there's Grey's Anatomy and 10 p.m. there's Without a Trace. I really didn't think I'd get into Grey's Anatomy enough to watch it a second time in a row, but I need to see this George, Callie, Izzie triangle through, as well as whatever's going to go down between Dr. McDreamy, Meredith and Lexie. There's just so much now. lol I was sucked in! haha

Now for that school stuff

I got an e-mail from Cypress College Transfer Center yesterday. There are a few events I need to go to. They're application workshops for CSULB and CSUDH.

There are only 28 more days until the deadline for Fall 2008 for those 2 universities and next semester I'll be doing a majority of the classes I need to be able to transfer to either of those school (should I be accepted).

I'm also worried about what I'm going to do for money to pay for them. I suck at convincing people I need something so I don't know how I'm going to do essays for scholarships and entrance into higher programs. It's just very scary, but I want to do it to get it over with so I won't have to do it again. lol Yes, weird.

18 more days until my first class. 18 days until I need to get my books. ACK! I'm behind! I should have already had the books so that I wouldn't have to worry about that, but for like 3 weeks my classes didn't have books listed and last week I checked the prices again for the books and found out one of them was changed so it was a good thing I didn't buy the books when I originally planned. I think my books are like $200 NEW and about $100-$150 USED. One I think isn't even available used, so that pisses me off.

My mom bought cat food. Not only was it for kittens (which Ms Marple isn't anymore) but it's the wrong brand. For like the last YEAR I've been giving Ms Marple Friskies. She ran out today and I had every intention of going to Longs Drugs and buying more, but I forgot and was going to do it first thing tomorrow morning. Now there's going to be a repeat of the cat throwing up for suddenly giving her food that she isn't used to. I don't want to deal with that again.

I'm missing Criminal Minds so tata for now!

No more traveling for a while

That trip to Tennessee that was going to happen in January. Not going to happen. I'm not wasting my money for that just yet. Yup, that's me being bitter about things.

That trip to Daytona Beach that was going to happen at the end of next May. I'm still planning that and hope that I'm able to go.

I entered a contest for a cruise Feb 4-10. I hope I win that. I'd really like to go to Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios, Jamaica. The only way I think I'd be able to go is if I won te contest. I doubt I will though. I'm still going to get my passport by the end of the year though. Just in case.

I had hoped to plan 2 cruises for the summer and Christmas/New Year's but that's not going to happen now.

I want to save what little money I do get for school and books. More in depth in my next entry.

I also wanted to go to the Grand Canyon and Sedona next year, but that'll have to wait. Meh!

Guess I'm going to have to use Snapfish now

I finally went to Longs Drugs to get my pictures and they aren't there.

I'm going to try Snapfish and see how they are.

sometimes it's not worth to keep the friends you make in college

I became close to a few friends while in the ATC program at Cypress back in 2006 and now that I'm done with the program and the friends I made are either working in the industry or still going to to school, I can't get a hold of them. I send them IMs when I see them online, and e-mails to see how they're doing...but nothing in return.

One friend in particular. She's younger than me and she told me she thought of me as an older sister and we hung out A LOT while at school. But now. She's a flight attendant, married (I guess) and living with her bf/husband in North Pole, Alaska (where he's stationed in the Air Force).

I found out the last bit of stuff through forwarded e-mails! The last time I talked to her, she casually mentioned her husband...woah! I had NO IDEA she'd gotten married! The time before that when I last talked to her, I was congraduating her on graduating from the F/A academy with the airline she applied to (I don't remember which one).

But I can't place all the blame on the friends I do want to keep in contact with who don't reply to me. I'm sure there are people from my past who've tried to get a hold of me and I simply brush them off. Maybe this is my karma kicking me in the butt for that. I don't know. But it really hurts and makes me feel like I DON'T have any friends.

Drama-rama

So over my birthday there was a bit of drama. It all went down in e-mails. But it's the same ol' drama from 4 years ago. I just can't seem to escape it. It's like one of lose horny dogs who won't stop humping your leg no matter how much you try to shake them off.

I'm tired of all the lying and bs around me.

I'm tired of thinking I can trust you only to find out that I can't.

I'm tired of having to bite my tongue and not speak my mind.

I'm tired of this hold over me.

I'm tired of thinking about what will never be.

I'm fucking tired of you and your lies.

And don't think this isn't about you, because it most certainly is. And you over there...this is about you too.
(no one here. this was directed a 2 people on myspace)

I don't understand how people you've known since elementary school...people who claim to love care for you, but their actions show otherwise can be one way with you, one way with someone else, then get pissed off when you find out!

And I can't help but wonder if she did what she did to stick it to me. I have no idea how long it's been going on either.
